Arizer Solo 3 Side Bubblers Compared: Mini vs Original vs XL vs Double Barrel

An Arizer Solo 3 bubbler from The Vapetrix plugs straight onto the device with no adapter: the Mini is the small, low-cost option, the Pop-Top is the easy-clean one, the Original is a side bubbler with about 50 ml of water, the Cascade XL adds a larger chamber and high airflow, and the Typhoon XL Double Barrel adds a second chamber for the most cooling.

If you are looking for an Arizer Solo 3 bubbler, this guide compares the five we currently have in stock, then covers how to set one up. All of them are third-party accessories made by The Vapetrix, not official Arizer products, and they sit in our water bubblers for Arizer Solo 3 and Air MAX collection.

The Original side bubbler for the Arizer Solo 3

1. Quick Comparison

Bubbler Size Water Best for
Mini 115 mm 10 ml Small and simple
Pop-Top 135 mm 30 ml Easy cleaning
Original 145 mm about 50 ml Side-mounted water, standard use
Cascade XL 145 mm about 50 ml Bigger chamber and open airflow
Typhoon XL Double Barrel 145 mm not listed Extra cooling, steadier draw

The Mini, Pop-Top, Original and Cascade XL are listed for Solo, Solo 2, Solo 3 (including V2.0) and the Air range, but not the ArGo. The Typhoon is listed for the Solo 3, Solo 3 V2.0 and Air SE only. All of them come with no adapter needed.

2. Mini

The Mini Water Bubbler is almost the same size as a regular 110 mm glass stem, so it is the easiest one to live with. It holds around 10 ml, is easy to fill and clean, and is a low-commitment way to try water on your Solo 3. It is also the most likely to feel slightly loose on a well-used device, so seat it carefully.

3. Pop-Top

The Pop-Top Easy-Clean Bubbler has a removable lid mouthpiece with slit filters, which makes it simple to open, empty and rinse. It holds about 30 ml and is 135 mm long. If cleaning is what puts you off using a bubbler, this is the one to look at.

4. Original Side Bubbler

The Original Side Bubbler keeps its water body beside the device rather than above the heater, so you are not balancing a tank on the oven. It holds about 50 ml, is simple to fill and clean, and arrives in a foam-padded box.

5. Cascade XL

The Cascade XL Side Bubbler is the same side-mounted design with an XL chamber and a high-airflow layout. It holds roughly twice the material of a standard stem, according to the listing, and gives a more open draw. Because of the open airflow, we recommend using it with concave filter screens to keep the chamber tidy.

6. Typhoon XL Double Barrel

The Typhoon XL Double Barrel Bubbler sends vapor through two glass barrels before it reaches you, for smoother, cooler vapor than a single-chamber bubbler. It has an XL chamber and a side-mounted water route. It is not a high-airflow model: it aims for extra diffusion and a steadier, more controlled draw.

7. Setup: Fit, Water Level, Airflow and Cleaning

  1. Fit. Check your device is listed for the bubbler (see section 1). Seat the bubbler gently and fully. On a well-used device it may feel slightly loose, and that is noted on the listings.
  2. Water level. Fill it while it is off the device. Add a small amount of water and do not overfill, which helps avoid splashback.
  3. Airflow. Draw slowly at first. If the draw is too tight, a coarser screen or the high-airflow Cascade XL will open it up. If you prefer more cooling over airflow, the Typhoon suits you better.
  4. Keep water away from the device. Never blow water down while a bubbler is on the Solo 3, as this could cause a short circuit.
  5. Cleaning. Empty the water after each session. Soak in isopropyl alcohol, rinse with warm water and let it dry fully. Our guide to cleaning water bubblers and glass attachments has more detail.

8. Common Questions

Do I need an adapter? No. All five plug straight onto the device. On the Mini, Pop-Top and Original listings, the standard four-hole Solo-style stem is already part of the set-up.

Will it fit my Solo 3 V2.0? Yes, the listings name the Solo 3 V2.0 for all five.

What if I have an ArGo? The Mini, Pop-Top, Original and Cascade XL are not for the ArGo, and the Typhoon is not listed for it either. The ArGo uses different stems, so these will not suit it.

Is a bubbler better than a cooling beads stem? It depends on how much you want to maintain. Water cools more, but it needs filling, emptying and cleaning. A beads stem needs less care.

9. Which One Should You Buy?

  • Cheapest way to try water: Mini.
  • Easiest to clean: Pop-Top.
  • A straightforward side bubbler: Original.
  • Open airflow and a bigger chamber: Cascade XL.
  • Maximum cooling on a Solo 3: Typhoon XL Double Barrel.

If you already own a water pipe, you may not need a bubbler at all: see our guide on using the Arizer Solo 3 with a water pipe, and our comparison of cooling beads versus water tools if you are undecided about water at all.

Final Thoughts

Every bubbler here plugs straight onto the Solo 3, so the decision is about size, cleaning and how much cooling you want. Start with the Mini or the Pop-Top if you are new to water, and move to the Original, Cascade XL or Typhoon if you want a fuller side-bubbler set-up. Browse all of them in the Solo 3 and Air MAX water bubblers collection.
