Where to Get a Frolic in the UK, and What Else Fits It
Share
In short: in the UK you can buy the LimeLight Frolic from a stockist such as The Vapetrix, or directly from LimeLight, which ships UK orders from a UK warehouse. Whichever route you choose, check that the listing includes the Molicel P50B 21700 battery and the full box contents, and know who handles warranty claims. Frolic-specific glass, capsules, screens and water parts are worth adding once you know how you use it. You do not need them all on day one.
The LimeLight Frolic is a compact dry herb vaporizer with a hybrid stainless steel heater, two heating modes, an airflow dial and a removable battery. This guide covers buying one in the UK: where to get it, what to check on the listing, whether it suits you, and which add-ons actually fit.
Where to buy a LimeLight Frolic vaporizer in the UK
There are two straightforward routes.
- A UK stockist. We sell the LimeLight Frolic alongside a range of accessories we design for it. Buying both from one place means one team to ask about fit, and one order.
- LimeLight direct. LimeLight sells through its own site and says UK orders ship from a UK warehouse. It also offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on direct purchases.
LimeLight supplies the Frolic with a Molicel P50B 21700 battery, and the battery is removable. If a listing does not confirm the battery and box contents, ask before you pay.
What to check before you buy
The battery is included
LimeLight supplies a 5000 mAh Molicel P50B 21700 cell with the Frolic. If you ever replace it, LimeLight's manual calls for a 21700 cell rated above 25 A continuous discharge. A cheap, low-drain 21700 is not a like-for-like swap.
The box contents match
According to LimeLight's manual, the box contains:
- the Frolic, with the battery fitted
- a USB-C cable
- a cleaning brush
- an O-ring set with a removal tool
- three coarse screens for the cooling unit and three fine screens for the oven
- the user manual
LimeLight provides a debowler tool for emptying the oven, and says the oven does not need stirring during use. If a listing leaves out any of the items above, ask the seller about it.
Who handles warranty
LimeLight gives the Frolic a two-year warranty and lists service centres, including one in the UK. You pay the postage to send a unit for repair. LimeLight also says that carrying on using the device after a "DEVICE TOO HOT" warning voids the heater cover. Keep your proof of purchase, whoever you buy from.
What affects the Frolic vaporizer price
We do not quote prices in guides because they change. Check the current price on the product page. When you compare listings, check what the price includes:
- Battery included. The standard kit comes with one, so make sure the listing says so.
- Warranty route. Keep proof of purchase, and know who to contact if something goes wrong.
- Accessories bundled. Extra glass or capsules only add value if you will use them.
- Delivery terms. Check where it ships from, the delivery charge and returns conditions before ordering.
Is the Frolic right for you?
LimeLight's own specifications give a clear picture of what the Frolic does well, and where it may not suit you.
| Feature | What LimeLight states | What it means day to day |
|---|---|---|
| Session mode | 40 to 220°C, with a 100 to 500 second timer | Relaxed, back-to-back draws from one load |
| Demand mode | 40 to 240°C, heats only while the button is held | Heating controlled by holding the button. LimeLight warns vapour above 210°C may feel harsh |
| Heat-up | About 5 seconds initially; later Demand heat-ups under 2 seconds | Very little waiting between draws |
| Airflow | Adjustable from 0 to 25 L/min | Adjustable draw resistance (0 L/min is closed) |
| Oven | About 0.25 g (1.4 cm³), hard-anodised aluminium | About a quarter-gram load |
| Charging | USB-C. The device shuts off while USB-C is connected | No use while charging. A spare charged cell is the workaround |
| Size and weight | 105 × 63 × 24 mm, 245 g with battery | Check these against how you plan to carry it |
The Frolic suits you if you want fast heat-up, fine control over airflow, and a battery you can replace yourself. Look elsewhere if you need to use the device while it charges, or you want the lightest possible pocket device. What else fits the Frolic
Everything below is a third-party Vapetrix part made for the Frolic and named as such on its product page. Our Frolic accessories guide covers each type in depth. Here is a quick overview.
Glass stems
Our glass stems push into the stock plastic mouthpiece and add a glass section to the mouthpiece end. The 70 mm short stem keeps the Frolic compact. The 110 mm straight and 110 mm angled stems add length. For extra cooling without water, see the 130 mm cooling beads stem. Our cooling stems comparison explains the differences.
Capsules and reducers
- Glass dosing capsules: no lid, for quick reloads at home.
- Aluminium screw-lid capsules: for carrying pre-loaded portions.
- Glass chamber reducer: for loads smaller than the 0.25 g oven.
Water
LimeLight lists 14 mm and 18 mm water attachments as optional extras. We offer two ways to add water:
- The all-in-one WPA steps between 10, 14 and 18 mm female joints. Check your water pipe's joint size and that it is female.
- The plug-in side bubbler connects directly, with no adapter needed.
Parts you will replace over time
- Screens. The box includes three coarse cooling-unit screens and three fine oven screens. Our pre-bent coarse and fine cooling-unit screens come in packs of 12.
- O-rings. LimeLight uses Viton O-rings in the cooling path and includes a spare set. Take them out before putting the cooling parts in the dishwasher.
- Glass. Stems and glass capsules can break if dropped.
- The battery. All cells lose capacity over time. You can swap the Frolic's yourself or charge spares in an external charger.
A sensible first order
- The Frolic, with its battery included.
- A spare 21700 cell of the right rating, if you are often away from a charger.
- A pack of glass or screw-lid capsules, depending on whether you mostly use it at home or out and about.
- One glass stem, if you prefer a glass vapour path.
Leave water parts until you know you want them. The full range is in our Frolic accessories collection. If you are not sure something fits your unit, ask us before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the Frolic while it charges?
No. LimeLight's manual says the device switches off when a USB-C cable is connected. You can charge the battery outside the device in a suitable 21700 charger, then swap it in.
Does the Frolic work with a water pipe out of the box?
No. To connect your own water pipe you need a WPA. For water cooling without a separate pipe, our plug-in side bubbler fits directly. LimeLight designed it to accept 14 mm and 18 mm water attachments.
How much does the oven hold?
LimeLight quotes about a quarter of a gram, in a 1.4 cm³ hard-anodised aluminium oven.
Why does my vapour feel harsh at high temperatures?
LimeLight warns that vapour above 210°C may be harsh. Try a lower temperature or open the airflow. Our guide to fixing hot or harsh Frolic vapour covers the other usual causes.
